Getting Started
“The joy of discovery is certainly the liveliest that the mind of man can ever feel”
- Claude Bernard -
This site is created for faculty who are new to instructional design and want to change up how they are teaching. If you identified with any of the questions on the home page, this site is for you.
Focusing on the materials you use to teach with, this site will not only give you resources but offer a class on modifying or redesigning your course.
There are no rules about where to start. It is meant to guide instructors through not just the basics of adopting or changing your textbook, but making your course successful for you and your students. Take it step by step, or jump ahead.
This includes elements such as textbook use and selection, OER, copyright and publication, open pedagogy, student success and assessment. By using a class that you want to work on, change, or develop, you will finish with a redesigned course, as well as the tools and the resources to utilize in other courses.
Feedback or questions...I want to hear them. Pose them on the blog portion of the site or contact me directly.
