teaching words to empower
Hey, TEach.
Kelsea Jones is an education professional who works with community college instructors to develop diverse research materials and learning experiences. Her first teaching gig was with developmental college writing students. Working with these students—high school drop-outs; non-English speakers; single, working moms—taught her that words can empower people to see themselves in new ways.

Kelsea taught writing for five years as an adjunct and as full-time faculty at a community college, and she now teaches information literacy in and out of the classroom as a reference librarian.

Kelsea holds a B.A. in Literature in English from College of Idaho and an M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction with a specialization in English Language Development from Concordia University.
